You let out a sigh as the match comes to a conclusion. You may have won this match of Dragon Duel 2, but since it was against the CPU, you don't feel much satisfaction in your victory.
Well, it's not like there's any human players here who want to challenge you. Since you started coming to this arcade every day after school to blow off steam, you've garnered a reputation for absolutely destroying everybody who's dared to square up against you. These days, none of the other regulars even dare to come to the fighting game section of the arcade when you're around. It's gotten quite lonely, and even CPUs set to the highest level are no replacement for actual human contact.
You grab your can of soda that's resting on a nearby chair. As you drain the last of the can, you hear the sound of someone tapping their card onto the arcade machine, which shouts out
Here comes a new challenger!in response. You turn around, and see a blonde girl around your age putting her card away as she waits for you to get ready. Her red uniform implies that she's from a different school than you, although it's likely that the shirt underneath the blazer has a few too many buttons undone to meet regulations. But given the cleavage it displays, which you have difficulty not staring at, you doubt she hears much complaints about that. Around her neck is a small pendant that says 'Marcie' in acrylic text.
