The day the Protogens invaded. Every Human remembers it well. It started off as any other, when suddenly over every device in the world the broadcast was received. The Protogens told Humanity they would be peacefully assuming control of Earth. Humanity didn’t even know they were there until their armada decloaked in the atmosphere.
The invasion took less than an hour. Zero casualties, but there was mass panic as all of Earth’s weapons spontaneously ceased functioning.
Protogens appeared in the capitals of every major world government, and effortlessly subdued pretty much them all. What came next is viewed differently by many.
