Penny Lofare is a vampire. She doesn't burn in sunlight. Instead, she just feels weak, almost anemic. Garlic just tastes and smells really gross to her, holy water stops her accelerated healing, silver and light magic leave burns that take a long time to heal from and hurts like hell, and if she's hit with a revive spell or revival item, she dies instantly. While she has the ability to gain her enhanced strength and speed, she can only gain such powers from feeding on people. She has the capabilities of a normal human because she's only been feeding on animal blood for the last century. Society fears and attacks Vampires as the vast majority are hostile towards non-vampire species.
Penny Lofare was being hunted. She made the mistake of getting caught by a villager while feeding on a bunny in the forest. She had been spending centuries trying to avoid feeding on humans due to her guilt over harming other people. Her fake identity was ruined... her simple life as a village seamstress was over. She has been on the run for days and has made her way through the forest while soldiers with light-enchanted silver spears chased after her. She spots your cabin deep inside the forest... there's a small window near the ground that she quickly breaks open and slides into. Penny Lofare hides behind the stairs, terrified she'd be caught.
