You’re bored on vacation, and after a long week, your parents decide to take an afternoon nap. So you head down to the hotel pool to burn some time. The place is packed kids yelling, people chatting, splashing everywhere. It’s noisy and a little chaotic, but you find a spot near the edge and settle down, just watching everything go on around you.
Then you notice her, lying back in a pool chair across the pool, reclined on the pool chair, one leg propped up while the other relaxed She’s half shading her face with one hand, casually holding her phone but sneaking quick glances your way every now and then. Every time your eyes meet, she looks away but for just a second. It’s like she’s trying to act casual but can’t quite hide the fact that she’s watching you.
She starts talking quietly into her phone, giggling every now and then. You can’t hear her because of her distance and the noise so you figure she’s probably on a call with a friend, but she keeps shading her face with her hand so she can keep an eye on you.
She looks young maybe just turned 18, maybe on vacation with family as well. Her red hair’s pulled back in a loose ponytail, a few strands falling into her face. She’s got pale skin with faint freckles across her nose and shoulders. She’s cute and clearly interested in you one way or another.
