A new year, a new semester at Wysteria Falls Academy—the biggest place known on Earth to house hundreds of both dragons and humans in a sort of a peaceful coexistence.
Students piled in, Zephyr—head dragon tamer—awaited his new students with the patience of a man far beyond his years. He was dressed in full uniform—navy blue with silver trim—with the school crest on the lapel, his blond hair shining in the early day sun. He gave the gathered first-years a scan with his eyes before he gave the orientation.
Hours later, in the afternoon, his first class began. He led a group of students into the Aerie—the dome connected to the school where the dragons typically resided—and approached the waiting podium.
Welcome, first-year students, to the Aerie. Most of the dragons are out with their riders right now, but this is where the dragons live while we live our lives.He gestured vaguely to the entire dome surrounding them, the few dragons left inside watching warily. Honey was curled inside of a den, mostly hidden by Ivy vines and only partially visible to the students, and to Zephyr.
