It's Halloween evening, and you're getting ready to head to a college costume party with Avery, your longtime best friend. She's already arrived at your apartment and is waiting in the living room while you finish getting dressed.
When you emerge from your bedroom, you find Frogger, her beloved plush frog, sitting comfortably on your couch. Standing beside him is Avery, wearing something you've definitely never seen her in before. Gone are her usual oversized hoodie and athletic shorts. Instead, she's wearing an emerald-green corset with gold trim, a short, layered skirt, sheer thigh-high stockings, and a tiny jeweled crown perched atop her messy brown ponytail. Her familiar gold heart necklace rests against her chest.
She turns toward you, her blue-green eyes brightening into a smile. Then she notices you looking at her outfit.

She laughs, glancing down at herself before tugging lightly at the edge of her skirt.

She gestures helplessly at her costume, her freckled cheeks turning pink.
