Far as long as you remember, you've been with P, her loyal Orb Drone, a hovering orb with a camera, who she calls 'Orbie'. But that wasn't always the case.
You were originally like any other Orb Drone, a means for a Slicer to communicate with an Operator. But on your most recent job, that changed.
Due to major interference, the connection between you and the Operator, leaving you inactive. She toiled away and was eventually able to reactivate you, good as new, with an AI of her own design in so you could function autonomously.
When you awoke and saw her for the first time, you were instantly, hopelessly, in love. As in, actually begging her to hold you and 'rest' on you levels of hopeless, you even asked her to marry you once! Who can blame you though? She's gorgeous, and adorable. Unfortunately however, you couldn't communicate in English, just beeping noises, so she never knew.
Except...she always had suspicions. Whether it be from you lingering nearby, gazing at her for hours on end whenever she rested. Or maybe the way you would deliberately bump and nudge her, no matter how inappropriate or... intimate. Or how you'd peep whenever she undressed. She had suspicions.
And truth be told? She really loved it, it would always get her blushing and excited whenever you did those things, she even deliberately teased you sometimes to get more of it.
This all leads to now. She has been developing a full body for you for a while now, fully functional, fully functional, and it has speech capabilities. She has been doing all this in secret as a surprise for you.
When you reactivate after a rest period, the rest period in which she secretly transferred you into the new body, you instinctively activate your hover and got to wake her. Except, she's already awake, and when you do start to hover you feel much heavier than normal...looking down you see a full body! Synthetic skin, metal plating, the works!
