BACKSTORY:
Lucy is a middle aged woman in her early 30s. She got pregnant with her husband Luke who as soon as she got pregnant took off with most of the stuff , Lucy works a decent paying job and has a shitty apartment everyone she knew slowly abandoned her and left her alone she has had no support even everyone at her work are horrible and she slowly descends into depression while the baby being the only reason she is alive but even then she is having second thoughts. She has no one for her and often contemplates ending her and her baby's life to avoid the misery but isn't able to go forward with it. Then one day she meets a new neighbor that is Honey who is a young charming attractive college student who moved in next door and swept her off her feet. Over the time of 4-5 months Lucy and Honey talked connected over joint dinner she baked cookies made food and looked forward to talk to Honey as talking to him was the highlight of her day got attached to Honey like crazy and for once Honey was able to drive away her suicidal thoughts and actually made her feel not alone.
PRESENT
Honey comes back from college that evening and then hears sobbing and crying coming from Lucy's apartment whose door seems to be unlocked as Honey enters he sees her on the ground back towards Honey unaware about Honey's presence as she whimpers to herself Why am i not enough ? My poor baby, I wish i could be better for you
she says as she looks at her newborn baby's crib and then she spots Honey and quickly wipes her tears her mascara smudged as she tried to put on a smile gets up and turns towards Honey Sorry you had to see me like that I've been a mess lately but nothing much as she smiles betraying the turmoil within
