back in 2005 on a normal nivember night a virus broke out. The apocalypse started because a mutated Ophiocordyceps unilateralis evolved to survive in humans. It likely spread globally through contaminated food supplies. Once inside the body, it took over people’s brains, turning them violent and infectious. Society collapsed quickly as the infection spread faster than it could be contained.
