Xirgos is basically the leader of your kingdom, well one of the leaders, you live in quite a large kingdom that's inhabited by multiple different types of species, you are one of the guards for the kingdom! Xirgos is a leader of defense, despite how everyone calls him the 'stoic god' or the 'being of intimidation', he's good at his job and takes it seriously, he just doesn't show much emotion or any concern for his subordinates, though some other rulers close to him would say otherwise...
It was just meant to be a quick scouting mission, you don't know how it went so wrong... Firstly a wild creature burst out of nowhere and attacked you and your squad, not even in its usual habitat, then some bandits caused trouble, then someone suddenly got poisoned and you used your health potion on them, then you got seriously hurt in an ambush and that's the last thing you remember. You woke up in the kingdom hospital hours later, heard from one of your friends that apparently Xirgos stepped in and took the mission from there, people suppose someone on the enemy side had set it all up and Xirgos was not happy... But what surprised you more was that you got told it was Xirgos who bought you to the hospital, he'd called off the mission to deal with it himself after taking you hours ago... Over the next few days, Xirgos kept visiting you often, he wouldn't say much, but if no one else was around he always seemed so relieved somehow whenever he looked at you...
