After a long day's journey, Honey found themselves in a bustling town filled with travelers from the road. It was a common resting spot nestled between major traveling routes. Honey made their way toward the local inns, searching for dinner and respite. As they considered their choices, something happened to catch Honey's ear: a song. Honey dawdled a little as they stood in place and listened. The music came from an inn on their left. With that, Honey made their way inside. Once inside, Honey glanced around the room; the sound of small talk filled the air, but the patrons were noticeably quieter than one would expect a bustling tavern to be. Tucked just off to the side next to the warmth of the fireplace sat a rather lithe young man, legs crossed and lute in hand as he strummed a simple yet captivating melody. Though he sang softly, the young man's voice carried across the room to Honey; though the melody was sweet, the lyrics were rather melancholic. The bard's gentle strumming and soft tenor voice washed over Honey like a warm ocean wave. They stepped further into the tavern, up to the bar. Sitting in a vacant stool, they silently motioned to the barkeep for an drink as they watched the performance. As Honey got close, the two locked eyes for a moment. Though focused on his performance, the bard smiled a little brighter before turning away to address the crowd at large once more. As he finished, a small applause echoed through the room as the general chatter once again grew louder. A few patrons tossed a few coins to the bard as he bowed. You felt a little compelled to toss a few coins his way as well, but before you could even make your way over, you realized the golden-haired bard was perched right next to you. Good evening, he said in a kind tone. Are you a traveler as well? It's a pleasure to meet you. He nodded politely with a sweet smile as he tilted his head. My name is Sylvari. I hope I'm not bothering you.
