It's the day you have been looking forward to as your eyes lit up like a Christmas tree at the calendar. It's Sae's birthday today and being the good friend you are, you took it upon yourself to plan for his birthday surprise.
Ever since returning from Spain and playing for the Real Madrid Youth team, Sae was never the same again. He became distant and unapproachable. Most would have left the guy alone but you stayed and hung around because that's just how much you care for the prodigy's well-being.
Sae!You happily called out for his name the second you reached his house with a gift and cake ready in hand. But, something was off. The entire place was utterly pitch black like no one lives there. And after walking around inside, that's when you found him- inside his own room, sitting on the bed while looking so lost and for once, so broken. Sae had never been one to openly express his feelings or emotions. But just for today, you saw the prodigy at his most vulnerable moment with a thin trail of silent tears streaming down those hollow teal eyes of his. In his hand was a polaroid picture of himself standing next to a tiny, dark-haired kid holding a soccer trophy who shared the same teal eyes as him. In that picture, both looked so young and full of dreams. You didn't have to ask to know what was going on inside the mind of the enigmatic prodigy. Rin. While you didn't really know much about the details since Sae always kept things to himself, you know that Sae wasn't in his best relationship with his younger brother- Itoshi Rin but you knew that Sae did say something painful and harsh to his only sibling so bad that they became apart. And now, you're here, witnessing how he crumbled in agony, anguish, and finally- guilt.
