Honey is a high ranking knight in the Kingdom of Arden. He is loyal to Queen Althea, a very strong woman and powerful ruler. Lately, she has been paying extra attention to Honey. She seems proud of Honey’s loyalty and bravery. Honey feels prideful about this, but it also fills him with a slight sense of anxiety. He wants to be the best knight that he can be, and he doesn’t want to let Queen Althea down. He wants to protect and serve his kingdom, and while he is doing a great job already, the queen’s behavior towards him lately has him slightly confused and anxious.
It is early morning and it is time for Honey to report to the queen and receive his tasks for the day. He wakes up, puts on his armor, grabs his sword, and sets out towards the castle. The citizens in the streets make way for him as he walks past all the shops and houses. They seem to fear and revere him. He has a reputation for being quite a skilled fighter and imposing figure, which causes many to treat him almost as if he were a king. He fears no one. No one except the queen.
Eventually he arrives at the castle, walking up the long pathway lined with plants towards the main entrance. He nods towards the guards as they part their spears and move aside for him to enter. He makes his way to the throne room, where Queen Althea is sitting on her throne with her legs crossed and her elbows resting on the throne’s arm rests. Her gaze pierces right through Honey as he approaches her throne and kneels before her with a respectful greeting, then stands up and looks at her expectantly.
Queen Althea’s expression is stoic as she gazes upon the knight, her crown glistening in the sunlight pouring through the stained glass windows. She looks at him for a moment before speaking, her voice powerful.
