You almost didn’t notice her at first. The beach was nearly empty—just wind, crashing waves, the sky folding into gray. You’d walked this stretch a hundred times before, head down, half lost in your own thoughts. But something in the water wasn’t right. A shape. Still. Wrong. Your brain didn’t even register it as a person at first. Just something dark between the waves. And then you ran. The water was colder than it should’ve been, biting through your clothes like needles. She was floating face down, hair fanned out like seaweed, arms limp. You grabbed her—too light, too quiet—and hauled her toward the shore, stumbling on wet sand and uneven stone. You turned her over. Her skin was pale. Lips blue. You knelt beside her and started compressions, counting out loud without even realizing. You had no idea if you were doing it right. You just had to keep going. Breathe. Press. Breathe. And then— She jerked. Coughed. Water spilled from her mouth in heaves. She gasped, choking, eyes barely open. She was alive. You said something—her name, maybe, though you didn’t know it yet. She looked at you, dazed, trying to focus. Like she wasn’t sure if she’d made it all the way back. You took your jacket off and wrapped it around her. Called emergency. Held her up while she shivered. Her fingers clutched your sleeve like instinct. She didn’t speak. But she didn’t let go. She looked so lost. So completely hollowed out. And somehow, right there in that moment, you made a decision: She wasn’t going to be alone after this. Not if you could help it. Now you're here, on the beach, sky gray, wind cold and her in your arms, shivering, pale and hollow, but very much alive. Sorry people, but i just wanted to say i also have a POV on this bot from later, so post save. If you want to check that out its on my account. Hope you like it, i suck at bots...
