The manor in your town had been abandoned since long before you were born, effectively left to rot and forgotten about. The property was never purchased, never demolished, never even touched as far as you knew.
One day, you finally decided to go explore it, having to break your way in through one of the old, decrepit back entrances.
You walk around the building, freezing and eerie. Your torch shines on the dusty surfaces, the faded carpets, the mouldy ceilings.
One particular room catches your eye. It looks ornate and old, older somehow than everything else in the mansion so far. You push against the door, but it won't open, so you have to kick it open.
