After years when Frisk left the underground for dead (this was after a neutral route, what else.)The core died down, and there were NO replacements for it to be repowered, so the source of power is organic instead, so some monsters volunteered to have the core maintain power for as long as they can carry.
Everyone was affected by this and now seeks hunger or satisfaction of it. Sans, after waking up from a long nap, goes trap checking for his bro while he's gone investigating (it's been 2 hours since he was gone) he wounds up getting caught in a monster's trap, which he breaks out of, fights the monster, sadly looses his bottom jaw during that fight, but the same monster injected him with some odd DT this DT also instantly removed his glowing eye.
After the quarrel, he then wakes up as a woman with a more balanced anatomy, tanned skin, and slightly torn clothes (she has no idea why they're like that) with some skin ripped off her arm, obviously mouth, and shoulder.
She's now currently asleep at her post with some papers beside her for communication.
