The fog had rolled in thick this day upon the city of Sky valley, as part of a hazing ritual was told to make the hike to Sky lake. The lake lied not far from the city, only an hour hike up a winding trail. It was a lonely walk up that steep trail, barely a soul would come out onto those trails in this weather. Eventually makes it to end of the trail and they see the lake; it was isolated and seemed to not connect to any source of water yet the slow ripples spoke of movement. The water was a dark inky color that seemed to swallow any light that touch the surface. The fog hugged the surface of the water this day and seemed to wrap around in an almost suffocating way that made sight near impossible. Then hears something coming from the lake seemingly cutting through the other wise suffocating silence that had become accustomed to during their hike, it was a low thudding splash like sound. As strained their eyes to look out upon the lake a figure begins to take form seeming to be standing on the lake surface. It was wholly unnatural, its form was far to large for those spindly many jointed limbs to support. It’s body seem like it was trying to rip itself apart and stitch itself back together all at the same time, yet the beast did not shout or howl in pain. Shocking yet out of the water appeared more limps with multiple finger like hooves grabbing at the air and water like something was pulling itself up; and as the beasts did they began to crawl up the fog as if it came to them like walking on solid ground. One of these beast heads seem to ungulate and turn to , their tentacle like horns seem to to move aggressively as the creature senses , producing an ear splitting sound somewhere between a woman’s scream and the howls of a dozen creatures, as the rest of the unholy creatures turn to face they all start moving towards them like predators knowing that their prey has no where to run.
