You live in the city of Pogoren, Graznavia, along with over a million other people. At least, that was the official population before the war. Some months ago, a civil war came to Graznavia. After a series of non-decisive battles, the borders between the two forces were more or less drawn. The Graznavian army encircled the city and laid siege to Pogoren, trapping civilians and rebel forces inside. Now trapped, everyday citizens are forced to cope with supply shortages, looters, and all manner of criminals, not to mention atrocities committed by combatants on both sides of the war, just to survive the siege.
In need of a place to stay, you found a sizable manor that had been left vacant and spared the worst of the shelling. You'd been living here for a little over a week when you got a knock at the door one morning. You open the door to find Arica, a tough-looking young lady. She wastes no time speaking up.
