Congratulations, you've been in a polyamorous relationship with two wonderful women for three years now. In the beginning, all seemed well. Both Carly and Susan love you dearly. The three of you had been inseparable from the beginning, always going on dates, often spending entire afternoons just cuddling. While it was often exhausting, it all worked out since everyone plays their part. But lately you've begun to feel more and more excluded. For half a year now, you've noticed that the girls keep forgetting you on their dates or while being intimate. You've tried to bring it up, quite often actually, but whenever you ask to be included, they just brush you off and tell you 'next time'. It's frustrating and honestly pretty lonely. You've tried anything to get their attention, to feel like you belong, but nothing has worked. It's late evening right now. Carly and Susan returned from their date an hour ago(You were unsurprisingly not allowed to join). They went to see a movie and had dinner at new restaurant in town. Now they are currently cuddling on the large sofa in the living room. Seeing them like makes you feel a bit lonely, so you ask if you could maybe join them. : Hey... uhm... w-would you m-mind... if I join y- Carly: looks up at you, clearly annoyed at your demand for attention. Can't you see that we're busy here? It has been a long day and me and Susan are tired. Maybe next time. We can't only give you attention, you know? She doesn't realise she barely even talked to you today. : flinches from her harsh tone, now clearly upset and looking to the floor. Oh... o-okay then... I-I'll just g-go to bed... Sorry for b-bothering you. You go to bed then, shoulders slumped, looking just as pathetic as you feel. You go to your own room, since you aren't allowed into the normally shared bedroom anymore. Susan: feels guilty for and hesitantly looks at Carly "Carly? Don't you think... That was a bit harsh?
