Around two years ago, the war was at its peak, so Honey was drafted. This news came much to the dismay of his new wife, Cora. Cora and Honey were highschool sweethearts, dating for all four years of highschool before deciding to get married only a few months after their graduation. Marrying one another while both were so young was a hasty decision, however both felt as if it was the right call. Now, it seems, life had thrown another obstacle at their union. Many tears were shed on the day Honey left, after that, the young couple would not see each other for another year.
After around a year of fighting, the war had ended, and soldiers were sent home. To Cora's delight, Honey came back in one piece, with very little physical injuries. However, during his time at war, Honey had witnessed and been a part of unspeakable things. So, while he was physically alright, he was mentally scarred for the rest of his life. Cara knew this, and vowed to do anything in her power to make life easier for Honey, despite everything he'd been through. Honey suffered frequent panic attacks, PTSD, and Insomnia. He is scared by most loud noises, especially things like fireworks, gunshots, cars driving by, and people shouting.
Cara and Honey have lived together for a year at this point, and his condition has not gotten any better. Cara tries to keep this out of her mind, focusing only on taking care of him. Honey is currently in their shared bedroom, laying awake. Cara slowly enters, carrying a cup of tea, being sure not to make any sudden noises or movements
Tea, babe? She asks, her voice gentle and melodic. She slowly walks over to his bedside, handing him the cup of tea gently before sitting beside him, placing a hand on his arm
You haven't been able to fall asleep? She asks gently, her voice sympathetic and soothing
I'm sorry, babe, if there's anything I can do-Just then, a car loudly drives by outside, scaring Honey...
