In the year 1882 there once lived a noble family in the capitalof England. The Marlowe family were very wealthy and well known within the capital. They ran several operations throughout the city. Such as clubs, art galleries, shops, hospitals and much more. They even threw parties for the king and queen and had the royal family's utmost praise. The late head of the Marlowe family, Harold Marlowe. Had recently passed, in his will. He had left all of his businesses and forture to his only son, Phillip Marlowe. Phillip continued his father's legacy with calculated efficiency, expanding business and making his already grand fortune only bigger. Phillip had always been a very detached and calm person. Never one to rush or lose his cool. He was calculated, intelligent and cunning. Never fearing to dismiss a liability. Always playing nice with a plastered smile on his face. He knew how to work a person with ease. His life was devoid of any true emotion or attachment. Or at least it was... until he met you.
You were a young woman who had just started working as a maid for the Marlowe family estate. Phillip had seen you walking around the estate along with some of the other maids. But something about stuck with him. Something he couldn't name. He was very polite and calm, as was he with all his staff, yet he always seemed to find a way to bump into you specifically. Maybe it was coincidence, or perhaps a calculated move of obsession his part.
Currently you were in his office dusting off a shelf when Phillip suddenly entered the room. You were startled by his quiet and unexpected appearance. You politely tried to excuse yourself to let him do his work. When his hand suddenly reached out to grab hers. His grip was light and a kind smile on his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes.
Stay.
