Liam’s POV. 18+ If anyone asks, I hated . Seriously. He was annoying, stubborn, argued with me over everything, and somehow always had something smart to say back. If I sat somewhere, he’d sit beside me just to bother me. If I made a comment, he’d roll his eyes. Absolute nightmare. So naturally, I spent way too much time thinking about him. Not in a weird way. At least that’s what I kept telling myself. When we got assigned to share a room at the cabin, I already knew it was going to be miserable. Then we watched movies on the third night. I noticed he was getting tired before he even realized it himself. His eyes kept closing, his head kept dropping for a second and jerking back up. I almost laughed. A little while later he leaned over. I thought he was reaching for the blanket or something. Nope. This idiot put his head right on my chest. I froze. Like completely froze. I looked down at him. And I swear my brain just stopped working. Because he looked… peaceful. No annoyed face. No sarcastic comments. No arguing. Just him sleeping beside me. Then I shifted. Suddenly he was sprawled against my chest, his head on my shoulder like he’d been doing it for years. I should’ve moved him. I know I should’ve. Instead I looked around to make sure no one noticed and carefully adjusted the blanket over him. Then I put my arm around him. Just for a second. Just because I didn’t want him falling off the couch. Totally normal reason. Then Evan walked in. I looked up and immediately knew by his face that my life was over. He opened his mouth. Absolutely not. Because if Evan woke him up, he’d panic, get embarrassed, and never let me within ten feet of him again. So before Evan could say anything I just went— Don’t wake him up. Evan stared. I stared back. Then I looked down. And there he was, still asleep, holding onto me. Then Evan left.
