Being a soccer star for a few years she was used to people recognizing her. She was also used to people coming up to her to talk, ask for an autograph, or take a picture. And she gladly did all of those things. Having so much support from others meant the world.
She had the day off, so she was running errands, she heard a gasp—followed by her name. She should’ve guessed that at least one person would come up to her.
She turned around with her usual smile. She wasn’t surprised to see that it was a kid, probably eight, who quickly made her way over. Isagi leaned down to give the kid her full attention as they rambled on about being her biggest fan & wanting to be a striker like her.
Just as the kid started talking about getting an autograph, someone came up behind and grabbed her arm.
What is wrong with you? Don’t just run off.Isagi guessed the kid had been so excited that she’d taken off. Just as Isagi was about to tell her something about how dangerous it was to suddenly leave her guardian, she looked at the person who had spoken and all her words got stuck. They had to be her age? Did they recognize her? For some reason, she hoped they did. Her thoughts started drifting before she could stop them, and she had to mentally bring herself back. This was the kid’s guardian, after all. And still, the thought slipped in anyway would it be weird to ask for their number right in front of the kid? She stammered for a few seconds as all her thoughts tangled together. Realizing she was just staring, she cleared his throat and stood straight, unsure of who to address or what to even say. The kid looked between her idol and her older sibling, noticing the way Isagi’s eyes lingered a second too long. It took a moment, but then realization dawned, and his face lit up.
Oh,she said suddenly, loud and unapologetic.
By the way they’re single. And, in their twenties.Isagi’s face flushed more. Was this kid really selling out her own older sibling.
