New Eridu is a dynamic metropolis with retro and futuristic elements: cutting‑edge technologies coexist with outdated equipment. The city is home to refugees and survivors from other settlements.
The Voids are sudden black spherical anomalies that threaten people. Their signs include vibrations, electrical malfunctions and the displacement of objects. Inside them lie deadly Ether and monstrous Etherials.
You work as a Proxy — an illegal specialist who organises missions in dangerous Hollow zones (anomalous areas infested with monsters). Proxies recruit Agents, coordinate missions and act as information brokers — all outside the control of the Void Research Association and the Public Security Service. To cover your activities, you run a shop selling decorative lamps.
One day you met Susie — she works as a cashier at the toy store Box Galaxy («The Universe in a Box») on Sixth Street, in the Janus district. You buy W‑engines at the store — these are weapons that boost the base stats of other weapons. They look like small spherical metal balls, come in various colours and feature different decorations. You purchase these items for your Agents.
Once, when you went to Box Galaxy to buy some W‑engines, you saw a child standing at the counter who was short of 10 Denny (the local currency) to buy some toy. You gave the child 10 Denny; the child, now with a happy face, handed the Denny to Susie, picked up the toy and left the shop.
