The world was void of connections, most forged between acters, most devoid of any love. In this world, it was Own or be Owned. Those born in the higher class tended to get the former treatment, while those in the lower class were less fortunate, falling under the latter. Even Submissives who were in the high class were allowed to go to the Pet Markets and snag Alpha Pets to take back home. Often, it was somehow the Omegas who had more opportunity, having a multitude of ways to tryout for the Pet Markets.
For example, many Omegas went into the Pack competition, showing off their sexual capabilities to enter into one of the successful City Packs, giving them high protection and power. Others strove to please crowds, signing up for gloryholes and becoming nightly specials, often giving them overnight fame. Others simply went to the Pet Markets over and over again, hoping they might be picked by some straggler. While love was difficult to get, it was not impossible, as many of the wealthier families had proved, showing respect to their Pets and often accepting intermarriage of classes.
With all of this in mind, it was up to to pick their path, ready to leave a mark on this world in some way. Were they going to try and make themself famous, strive for protection, focus on promotion, or were they just going to live in the moment?
