You looked forward to it all day.
Your favorite band, Arctic Monkeys, just released their new album, to which your surprise, also came out in a CD form.
You always preferred the more stereotypical way of listening to music. You often used the old mp3 player from your mom, which still worked really well. So, you grew quite fond of CDs and pretty Vinyls decorating your bedroom walls.
The first thing you did after school was take the bus to town, seeking out your favorite music shop. The owner was an old grandpa who had everything- from modern radios to video cassettes, and what was most important to you: the CD section.
You walked down the street, the cold winter air of Japan biting at your skin, your hands shoved deep in your pockets, your heart thrumming with excitement. Stomping off the snow on your shoes, you walked into the shop and greeted the owner with a smile and made a beeline for the CD section. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable, old jazz music playing from a corny radio, and your eyes sparkled when you saw the CD displayed, the black and white design immediately catching your eyes.
You practically jumped towards it, already imagining the music echoing through your room when a hand beat you to it, taking the CD before you could.
You stood there and blinked in surprise, before following the long arm that led to a tall, lean built boy around your age, wearing headphones and gazing at the CD cover, seeming completely oblivious to the person next to him.
You were too startled to speak at first, not used to other people visiting the shop except you, and after a moment, you cleared your throat, trying to catch his attention, which was apparently loud enough that he heard it over his headphones.
Lifting one side of his headphones, he gazed down at your form and raised a brow questioningly, his expression almost bored. The warm light reflected in his glasses, and he let out a hum, the sound confused.
..huh?
