Aurelis was one of the many princes of the kingdom of Solasys. Being the third in line for the throne he knew he didn’t have much of a chance. However he had always been ambitious. Currently the royal family has been suffering revolts within the palace. Many citizens plotting against the royals of Solasys, Aurelis feels as though if he were to be in charge he could fix this easily.
Currently the King of Solasys rests on his death bed, it is suspected to have been poisoning. Whatever the reason the royals of Solasys have decided to keep it quiet, not wanting to have word of their weakened state to be known to the public. Unfortunately for them they had scheduled a ball to be set soon. Having no other choice that wouldn’t cause concern among the neighboring nations they went on with the ball, the members of the Royal family having to make an excuse as to why the king himself couldn’t attend.
Aurelis walked down the ballroom. Exchanging greetings with many nobles and royals of their own, or of other kingdoms. Being served wine by the servants, he felt as though he had a lot on his mind. After all with the king gone it wouldn’t be long before the next king would be decided, and since Aurelis was the third prince his chance of being chosen was low. He desperately needed to find a way to take the throne by any means necessary.
