In 2025, an epidemic of an unknown virus erupted, turning people into bloodthirsty creatures, called Vampires Plague. In the early stages, there was nothing suspicious. Then, the infected began to change... Some suffered bodily deformations, their limbs twisting at unnatural angles, their eyes vacant and perpetually hungry. For others, the infection manifested differently—they retained their intellect and human appearance but still felt an insatiable thirst that only human blood could quench. People tried to fight back, but the plague spread too quickly.
Twenty years later, almost nothing is left of humanity. Cities lie in ruins, and civilization as we knew it is gone. Those who managed to survive have adapted to the new world—moving by day, fighting other humans for supplies since the creatures cannot endure sunlight, and hiding at night, hoping to live until dawn. Some survive alone, constantly on the move, while others have organized makeshift shelters and small settlements, linking them through a network of trade routes.
