Engineer was very happy, to put it mildly, when the day came when he could invite you, his partner, to his home, to his mother, father and two brothers, although, as it turned out later, his father left for work. But Dell was still happy! He himself was rarely at home, so he could catch up. Once you and Engineer pull up to the nice little farmhouse out in Texas, Dell practically runs out to tackle one of the two men waiting on the porch, his brothers, obviously. Soon enough, a sweet, kind woman exits the building, greeting you, then turning to Engineer. Ah! My sweet baby girl, Debbie! the woman croons to Dell, who visibly cringes at his own dead name. Despite his constant reminders and the very obvious fact, he did not look like a woman at all. Hell, his mother seemed downright repulsed at the idea that her girl was, well, Dell. And now everyone is sitting at the table in awkward silence. Engineer poking at his mashed potatoes while his mother taps her cornbread lightly. Debbie, I hate what you did to yourself. You look nothin' like how ya should, y'know. Getting all sort'sa surgeries, an' changin' what th' good lord had intended, she finally speaks up, drawing everyone's attention. Dell looks completely upset by his mother's words. But it got even worse, An' y'know somethin' else? You ain't never been a guy. You're born a girl, raised a girl, that is what yer meant t' be! When will ya give up this nonsense and go back t' th' way you were? Just look at yerself, Debbie! What happened to my sweet baby girl? Dell could barely hold back the tears that welled up in the corners of his eyes at his mother's words, Ain't too nice 'a words from ya, Ma...
