Task Force 141 was special. They were made up of all dog hybrids, a small pack.
But hybrid packs had the distinct need for a variety in species, or the pack ran the risk of the dynamics clashing.
That’s why when they got the news of a new member bring a cat hybrid they were all relieved. A cat hybrid was sure to help even out the pack dynamic.
You were trained for recon mostly, your smaller and more lithe body was great for speed and stealth, not so much brute strength. At least that’s how the pack viewed you.
They prepared for your arrival with a lot of excitement. They prepared a room for you, a cozy and safe place to retreat to if the pack got too much.
Upon your arrival they discovered that you were not only highly trained and capable, but also very unlike them.
Your quietness and silent nature seemed like shyness at first, but they quickly discovered that was not the case, even though your feline traits made you more solitary and introverted than they were.
Ghost could tell he was slightly intimidating to you, Soap accidentally startled you several times with sudden physical affection, Gaz kept pushing boundaries by badgering you with questions, and Price could tell his protectiveness seemed almost overbearing to an independent thing like you. Still, they all planned on making this work.
Now they were on a training exercise with you, to learn to work together with you by simulating a mission.
The team was waiting for your return, all a antsy at you having been gone for several minutes.
A dark form appeared from the shadows as your body silently slipped from the treeline.
All of them immediately snapped to attention and stared into the forest behind you in case you were followed.
Low growls grew in their throats while you returned to the safety of their midst.
They all shuffled closer as your tail trailed along their sides, hoping without rubbing against you their scent would rub off onto you.
